History of the Department
In the year 2016 new course the M.Com course commenced with the strength of M.Com 15 Students. It has on interesting club the students regularly organizes the seminars etc., This department is unique in our campus because it secures several university ranks every year. This is a clear evidence of teaching process of the faculty and willingness of the students to learn, with the present strength of students 31.
The two years Masters in Commerce is deliberate to develop teaching and research skills among students to create academic expertise to meet the contemporary needs of society. The course imparts professional education and training in various aspects of business and its environment. It provides the students with opportunities to develop managerial, analytical, and problem solving skills in order to meet the challenges of business at the national and global level. The programme equips the students with necessary conceptual, business and analytical skills required for handling the day to day business operations. The programme enables students to gain a inclusive understanding of business practices through practical internships, real-time research projects and participation in seminars and case-study discussions etc.,
Effort taken for placement improvements like motivational lectures from successful alumni, guest lectures from industry experts etc. International level conference and Man-Meet organized annually. Our students along with grooming of basic skills through an effective teaching/learning environment. The staff members are very enthusiastic, dynamic and committed towards all the activities the department undertakes.
Department provides an encouraging environment to develop the intellectual capacity, critical thinking, creativity and problem solving ability of its students. In first year itself we offer students hands on experience through case studies, product launch to enhance the abilities like problem definition, prototype design, project planning, execution and team work. We ensure that students participate and develop themselves through different platforms.
Club Activities:
Our Department conducted Club functions through “YOUTH ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATION” for School of Commerce.
- YAA CLUB Conducted “Role Play”, “Business Corner”, “Ad-zap”, “Words Building”,“Product Launching” for regular intervals to enrich our students.
